Strioline
This project is an experimental Vulkan-based variant of the well-known Fabulously Optimized modpack.
It aims to preserve as much of the original Fabulously Optimized (FO) experience as possible while replacing the traditional OpenGL/Sodium rendering stack with VulkanMod. The goal is to explore potential performance improvements and alternative rendering paths on supported systems.
About Fabulously Optimized
Fabulously Optimized is a community-driven modpack focused on:
- High performance
- Visual improvements
- OptiFine parity features
- Stability and quality-of-life enhancements
This project would not exist without the original FO team and their excellent work. All core design philosophy, mod choices (where compatible), and configuration direction originate from the FO project.
This is not an official FO release and is not maintained by the FO team.
What’s Different in This Edition
This variant replaces FO’s standard rendering stack with:
- VulkanMod as the rendering backend
- Removal of mods that are incompatible with Vulkan rendering
- Adjustments to maintain stability under a non-OpenGL renderer
Because VulkanMod fundamentally changes how Minecraft renders graphics, some visual or performance-related FO features may be missing, altered, or behave differently.
Experimental Status
This modpack is experimental.
You should expect:
- Rendering bugs
- Visual glitches
- Feature regressions compared to standard FO
- Incompatibility with certain resource packs, shaders, or rendering mods
This pack is intended for users who are comfortable testing, troubleshooting, and reporting issues — not for players seeking a fully stable experience.
Compatibility Notes
Due to the use of VulkanMod:
- Shader support differs from standard FO (Iris/Sodium shaders are not used)
- Some rendering enhancement mods from FO are intentionally removed
- Visual parity with the main FO pack is not guaranteed
If you want the fully supported and polished experience, please use the official Fabulously Optimized modpack instead.
