Rainbow Reef is a mod that adds various real-life species of reef fish to your world!

All of these fish can be captured in buckets, and most can be slain for their flesh (but why would you want to do that?)

Currently the mod adds thirteen different fish, each with varying numbers of colorful variants that all together come to a total of 79 variants:

Basslet, a miniature shy fish with stunning colors. has one rare variant, and one more even rarer variant.

Boxfish, a puffy poisonous fish with a wobbly swim, perfect as a comedic aquarium showpiece.

Butterflyfish, an elegant fish with long fins.

Clownfish, a more detailed version of the vanilla clownfish, sure to delight clownfish lovers.

Dwarf Angelfish, a small fish with highly varying colors. Goby, a tiny fish which swims delicately around reefs. perfect for aquariums of any size!

Hogfish, a fish with a long snout that can be found in warm and lukewarm oceans.

Parrotfish, a rather large fish that spawns in large schools. At night they fall into a deep slumber and change their colors to be much darker! Pipefish, an adorable little stick-esq fish that spawns exclusively in mangrove biomes.

Seahorse, a strange looking fish that comes in 10 variants, most of which are named after various precious stones.

Small Shark, somewhat of an uncommon sight, only comes in four variants. Bucket them up when you see one…

Ray, master of the reef. The pride and joy of any reef aquarium. Comes in only one variant.

Tang, medium-sized fish which often swim in schools. Has 4 ultra-rare aberrant variants, can you find them all?

The mod now also adds several food items, one for each fish with a drop. Most of these foods have their own uses and niches that make them handy to have in all sorts of situations!
