Parrot's Fishing Crates

is an expansion to fishing - not adding fish but instead four tiers of crates you can find while fishing, as well as loot to fill them!

Feel free to use this mod in any modpacks!

The four crate tiers are:

1. Fishing Crate
2. Sunken Crate
3. Abyssal Crate
4. Leviathan Crate

Loot

Basic Fishing Crate

The basic fishing crate can drop:

• Rusty Weapons

Including the Rusty Axe and Rusty Sword, these weapons are slightly stronger than iron in base stats and will inflict Poison 4 for one second when hitting a mob.

• Resources

Iron, gold, and nautilus shells can also be found in these crates.

• Misc

The fishing crate will also have some random seagrass, kelp, or string inside.

Sunken Crate

The sunken crate can drop:

• Rusty Weapons

The sunken crate can drop the same rusty weapons as found in the basic fishing crate.

• Lucky Coin

A special coin that, on use, will give either Luck 5 or Bad Luck 5 for 10 seconds with a 50/50 chance.

• Resources

Gold, emeralds, nautilus shells, and sometimes a diamond or two can be found.

• Misc

Same as the basic fishing crate, the sunken crate will also have some random seagrass, kelp, or string inside, although less.

Abyssal Crate

The abyssal crate can drop:

• Diamond Weapons

The abyssal crate has a chance to drop a diamond sword or axe.

• Lucky Coin

A special coin that, on use, will give either Luck 5 or Bad Luck 5 for 10 seconds with a 50/50 chance.

• Enchanted Fishing Rod

An enchanted fishing rod can drop from the abyssal crate. It may be cursed, though!

• Resources

Emeralds, emerald blocks, gold, and more diamonds can be found in these crates.

• Prismarine

Unlike any other crate, the abyssal crate will contain prismarine shards or crystals.

Leviathan Crate

The leviathan crate can drop:

• Diamond Gear

The leviathan crate can drop diamond swords, axes, blocks, or just diamonds.

• Highly Enchanted Fishing Rod

The leviathan crate will drop a more highly enchanted fishing rod than the abyssal crate.

• Emeralds

The leviathan crate is guaranteed to drop many emeralds and emerald blocks.

• Bones

The leviathan crate will contain some bones and bone blocks.

• Totem of Undying

A guaranteed drop from the leviathan crate.

Luck

There is a base chance of reeling in a crate of 4%.

You can increase your chances of reeling in a fishing crate in two ways:

1. Fishing while it's raining will increase your chances by 1%
2. Fishing with Luck of the Sea enchantment will increase your chances by 1% every level

(The chances are not changed by the Luck status effect)

So, with Luck of the Sea III during rain you will have an 8% chance of reeling in a crate.

However, the crates themselves also have different rarities. While the basic Fishing Crate is the most likely, the Sunken Crate is 3x as rare to reel in. The Abyssal Crate is 3x rarer than that, and the Leviathan Crate is 3x rarer than the Abyssal Crate!

When using this mod, if you're not just always fishing I would recommend also using a mod like https://modrinth.com/mod/useful-luck due to the Lucky Coin being kind of useless otherwise.
