Patch 2.0.3

  • FINALLY and ACTUALLY fixed the Dialily. It now uses the basic cross model that most plants use, and with a new texture, it finally looks like it belongs!

  • Also reduced hardness of Dialily to 0.5 to make it easier to collect.

  • Still looking into other potential uses for Dialily besides decoration and crafting Sticks.

Patch 2.0.2

Apologies for the small patches, these are mostly just bugfixes.

Fix: Added missing crafting recipes for Omenon Fence.

Adjusted recipes for Chiseled Omenon and Chiseled Stallium blocks

Fix: Actually fixed the model for the Dialily this time (had to trim a few leaves, but it looks much better than before).

Fix: Roomer can no longer break Bedrock.

Added: Armed Roomer now gives off particles and makes a ticking sound when breaking layers of blocks!

Hopefully, this will be the last patch for a little bit (no guarantees though).

Update 2.0.1

A VERY small update to provide some visual fixes and balancing changes. It is recommended to reset your Othertime config to see the changes to the plants.

Nerf: DRASTICALLY lowered default growth rates for plants.

Nerf: Increased hardness and resistance of Dialily to 1.0 (was 0.1)

Artwork: Improved lighting and texture for Dialily.

Nerf: Shrunk hitboxes of Dialily blocks to improve lighting. Added new blocks: Tires! Tires are back! They're only decorational, but do provide a distinct look for vehicular builds. They are craftable in Survival and come in Thick and Thin variants!

Update 2.0.0

New content. No clutter. No longer stuck in the past.

This is not just an update, but a complete overhaul of Othertime. Nicer textures, better performance, nicer models, more useful blocks, and less pointless clutter. This version is NOT compatible with previous versions of Othertime, meaning it's also incompatible with saves using previous versions of Othertime. This is because so much has been changed, removed, and added that it simply won't work with previous versions (

Here is what Othertime 2.0 currently offers:

New Ore: Stallium! A new ore found only in the Overworld! Can be crafted into a new blockset! New Ore: Omenon! A new ore found only in the Nether! Can be crafted into a new blockset! The new ores come with blocks, plating, chiseled blocks, treads, bars, trusses, fences, glass, doors, trapdoors, walls, stairs, and slabs! New Ore (Gas): Neon! Neon Gas can be bottled when right clicking a Neon Gas Vein with an empty bottle! Can be crafted into a variety of glowing blocks!
New Ore (Gas): Hydrogen! A new gas found only in the Nether! Can also be bottled, but can't be crafted into blocks. Instead, Hydrogen can be crafted into Wind Charges and Breeze Rods! New Storage Block: Stallium Barrel! New Storage Block: Filing Cabinet! Also gives enchanting power! New Storage Block: Fridge! New Storage Block: Stallium Locker! New Storage Block: Toolchest! New Feature: Waxed Copper can now be dyed in all 16 colors, and can also be chipped to give a worn appearance!
New Fluid: Liquid Cement! This viscous liquid will dry into Light Gray Concrete Powder over time. Very handy for filling holes, creating large flat areas, and (with a bit of ingenuity) building walls and buildings! New Functional Block: Cementrifuge! Right clicking this block with an empty bucket will give you Liquid Cement. New Villager Profession: Laborer! Trades Emeralds for resources and building supplies! Uses the Cementrifuge as a workstation. New Functional Block: Desiccator! Given Redstone power, this block will extinguish any fires in a large area around it, making it a great way to prevent fires from spreading out of control. New Functional Block: Humidifer! Geven Redstone power, this block will moisturize farmland and apply bonemeal to blocks around it (up to 4 blocks away from it in any direction). A great way to accelerate crop growth, and allows for farming with moist soil even in the Nether! New Functional Block: Generator! When Right Clicked, the Generator will be toggled on and off. When on, it emits a smoke, and provides Redstone power! Can also be waterlogged! New Functional Block: Redstone Breaker! A new source of Redstone power with a nice aesthetic! New Functional Block: Latrine! Given Mud-convertible blocks, a Bucket of Water, and a quick flush, the Latrine will convert Mud-convertible blocks into Mud in bulk! No more having to constantly use Water Bottles to make single blocks of Mud! New Functional Block: Sink! Can fill buckets in hand with Water when Right Clicked! New Block: Chainlink! A cheap but flimsy early-game substitute for fences and walls. Great for quickly securing an area and keeping mobs out! New Block: Stepladder! A sturdy, cheap, and compact alternative to traditional stair blocks. Also gives off a nice industrial vibe! New Block: Caution Block! A decorative block that signifies a hazardous area. New Plant: Bulbroot! A new plant found only in the Nether. It looks eerily similar to a lamppost, and provides light. It can also be used as fuel to smelt 4 items, making it a renewable and decorative fuel and light source! They can also be grown on any solid surface New Plant: Dialily! These tall flowers are found in forest biomes in the Overworld, and can be crafted into Sticks. They are renewable, and are a great means of getting Sticks quickly without having to chop down trees. New Tool: Screwdriver! A handy tool for changing the look of various blocks in the mod! It can be used on grates, pipes, tubing, and trusses! New Explosive: Roomer! The Roomer can be armed by crafting it with a block of TNT. It can then be placed down to mine out a large (one might even go as far as to say... ROOM SIZED) area above it. It will disarm when finished mining, and can then be rearmed.

Othertime 2.0 is currently completely Survival friendly, with everything being able to be acquired in Survival mode!

Previous versions of Othertime are no longer supported. More content is still planned for Othertime 2.0+, including a resource pack that gives many of the blocks in the mod Connected Textures Mod support!

Thank you all so very much for your continued support on this passion project of mine. I hope you all enjoy this overhaul. It took a long time, but it was definitely needed.

Last thing: You can follow my Instagram for updates on Othertime and my other projects if you so desire. https://www.instagram.com/avgjoe520/

Minor update: Buffed inventory size of Trashbag: it can now hold up to 54 stacks of items (a double chest worth of items)! Still not the most secure or hygienic form of storage though... Added the first plant of Othertime: The Bulbroot! These tall roots can be found almost anywhere in the Nether in small patches. Admittedly, they aren't very useful on their own. However, they are an abundant, renewable, eco-friendly light source, and they make great light posts! They can be placed on any solid block, and can be bonemealed to grow. Major addition: Othertime now has a common configuration file! For now, it only allows for control over Bulbroot generation, but more controls will definitely be added later!

Update 1.5.3

Minor update: Added functionality for Latrine. Placing blocks that can be converted to mud in the left 9 slots of the inventory along with a water bucket will allow you to flush the Latrine. Flushing the Latrine will convert all blocks in the inventory to mud and consume the water. It must be completely emptied to flush again. NOTE: The Latrine cannot be automated with hoppers or pipes.

Patch 1.5.2

Adjusted colors for Pink Tincite blocks to contrast a bit more. Buffed Cinder Block recipe: now yields 16 instead of 4. Buffed Omenon Stepladder recipe: now yields 12 instead of 6. Adjusted colors for Light Blue Tincite blocks to look less like the Cyan Tincite blocks. Humidifier now helps to bonemeal crops within it's area of effect.

Update 1.5.0: The OMENON PHENOMENON Update

Added new ore and blocksets: Omenon! Omenon ore can be found in the Nether anywhere above y = -50. While not as convenient as Stallium nor Tincite, Omenon is much more resistant, and can be used as a crafting ingredient for many things.

Added new block: Omenon Stepladder! A less modular but fancier alternative to traditional stair blocks. Perfect for any industrial/modern/futuristic build!

Added new block: Mirror! Mirrors aren't very useful on their own, but can be placed decoratively. They're more useful as crafting ingredients for more intricate things. Also handy for covering up something you don't want to be seen!

Added new storage block: Vitrine! A very fancy but delicate storage block that has mirrors on 3 sides. Extremely useful for making medicine cabinets, but can also be used for many other purposes as well! Features vertically connecting textures!

Added new functional item: Glow Stick! Holding Right Click with a Glow Stick in your hands will give you Night Vision for 30 seconds. It's reusable, but needs to be shaken (Right Clicked) every once in a while to keep working. A great option for helping you see anything in dark places before having access to potions! Can't be placed down nor deter mobs from spawning though.

Added new (old) functional block: Desiccator! It didn't make any sense to have a humidifier dry out things such as cement. So, to make it more logical, the Desiccator has taken the place of the Stallium Humidifier. It also includes a new animated texture, and emits light when active, allowing it to melt snow and ice nearby! Other than these changes, it is identical to the Stallium Humidifer.

Added new functional block: Humidifier! Essentially the opposite of the Desiccator, the Humidifier is used for providing moisture to nearby blocks (within 2 blocks of the Humidifier), including farmland! This makes it possible to hydrate farmland without water (meaning you can grow crops in places like the Nether). Requires Redstone power to function.

Removed: Stallium Humidifier. (NOTE: Any Stallium Humidifiers already placed in your world will be deleted after you install this update. I apologize for the inconvenience, but there isn't a way I can prevent the blocks from being lost. Also note however that nothing else should happen. Your worlds should be completely fine. The only thing that will happen is anywhere a Stallium Humidifier was placed before updating the mod will be replaced with air after the update.)

Added new functional block: Sink! Right-clicking on a Sink with an empty bucket in hand will fill the bucket with water!

Added new decorational block: Latrine (Toilet)! For now, the Latrine is decorational. It will however be given a function in a future update.

Added new functional block: Cement Planter! The Cement Planter gives you a new place to plant your plants in style wherever your heart desires! It can be hydrated by either right-clicking on it with a Bottle of Hydrogen Gas, or being placed near a powered Humidifier. Once it's hydrated, it will stay hydrated forever (unless its broken or destroyed in an explosion)! Villagers don't like to harvest crops planted in Cement Planters though.

Added new decorative blockset: Spastone and Spastone Bricks! A decorative blockset that is perfect for modern builds.

Added new Tire variant: Angled Tire! A great way to make vehicles look like they have more complex tires like treads.

Retextured all metal sheet blocks to blend in better with other metal blocks. Retextured all platform blocks to blend in better with other metal blocks.

Optimized: Textures for metal sheets. Each variant of metal sheet uses one texture for all four states (previously each state of each variant had it's own texture).

Reverted model changes to Trusses (looked way too messy with the double sides).

Reworked models for Firewood and Cinder Blocks (they are both now FAR more versatile in building).

Wallpaper and Drywall now use a single texture (making them better to use for walls with holes in them).

Changed Fridge crafting recipe to require a Locker (was a Stallium Humidifier).

Metal sheet blocks will now have correct textures when on the floor or ceiling (you may need to re-place your sheets to see this effect).

Changed most Stallium blocks to use Netherite Block sounds instead of Copper. Retextured Filing Cabinet and changed crafting recipe to be based on Omenon instead of Tincite. Cleaned up textures on Toolchest. Retextured Fridge and added vertical connecting textures.

Stallium Hatches and Hatch Controllers have been removed from the mod. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes, but I realized the hatches were causing... issues to say the least. To compensate, I've retextured the Stallium Trapdoors to look like the hatches so you can still make large industrial doors (even if they won't be functional). It's very likely I'll try to rework and reimplement the hatches in the future, but they simply weren't up to standard in their current state.

Please report any bugs you find on the Othertime GitHub issues page. On an different note, sorry this update took so long to come out. Hopefully it was worth the wait though! I also hope you enjoy the new content! Thank you for all of your support!

Update 1.4.0:

This update focuses on improving current content, but also adds a few new things to enjoy!

Recipe Balance Changes: Heavily nerfed the yield from Stallium stonecutting recipes to better match vanilla values (they were based on Cut Copper stonecutting recipes before, which give unbelievably high yields).

Added New Stonecutting Recipes for basic Tincite Blocks (NOT dyed Tincite blocks).

Fixed AI not seeing modded trapdoors correctly.

Reduced tool tier of Filing Cabinet to Stone (was Iron).

Changed recipe of Trashbag to require Dried Kelp instead of Paper and Rotten Flesh. This change was made so that the Trashbag wouldn't get confused with a new addition (described below).

Changed recipe for Plywood to require 4 Paper instead of 2 sticks. Sugar Cane can be found in many biomes where wood is scarce. This change makes it so that Plywood (and consequently, wood) is easier to access.

Fixed transparent blocks not connecting to fences, walls, panes, etc.

Stallium Truss now uses a custom model that renders more faces of the block, making it look MUCH better.

Cut Cement now has vertical connecting textures.

Reduced hardness of Roomer blocks from 5.1 to 1 (to make them more convenient)

Added a new functional item: Paper Bag! A very easy, early-game storage item. It can't be placed in the world, but it can hold up to 27 stacks of items. Extremely handy for taking all of your belongings with you at any point!

Added new Stallium block: Stallium Sealed Glass! A reinforced glass block that provides a more industrial look to your builds! It also has vertical connecting textures and a pane variant!

Retextured all Plywood blocks: Plywood now uses Oak wood colors to make it look more natural (and also so it can be used alongside Oak wood blocks). Plywood blocks also connect more naturally.

Retextured all Neon blocks: Neon blocks now look and feel like actual neon. Neon blocks now emit less light (was 11, now 5) and have had their saturation decreased (the high saturation of the old textures could be hard on the player's eyes under certain conditions). Neon blocks now use a different placement scheme (you may need to re-place already placed Neon blocks to correct their orientation).

Retextured Cut Cement Wall to be more unique and versatile in builds.

Please feel free to leave any feedback or report any issues. But above all else, enjoy!
