NLTech: Space Technologies is a technology and progression mod built around the feeling of earning industry from the ground up all the way to inter-space stuff.

You start primitive by mining new ores, crushing them by hand, sifting crushed material, refining impure dust with heat, and slowly pushing your way toward steel, machines, power, oil, logistics, and eventually space-age industry stuff.

The goal of NLTech is to make technology feel unique. Nearly every single material has processing chains. Lots of tools have purpose. Energy which has unique behavior (read below for more info). Oil which has to be found and handled properly. Basically, automation becomes something you actually want (or not if you are crazy).

  • Crushing Pots, Crushing Shards, Sieves, Heat Proof Iron Boxes, primitive tools, and early steelmaking to turn raw ore into usable materials.
  • Item which are generated from realistic material lines, including dusts, plates, rods, bolts, reinforcements, wires, tools, and machine parts.

  • Ores that are not scattered everywhere like basic vanilla blobs. We use our own sector system, where some areas are rich, some are poor, and have different ore grades.

Energy and oil

  • Our own Dynamic Energy system, which is built around generators, wires, machine storage, network behavior, and energy grades. (Currently doesn't have any feature that converts our DE to other energy systems (such as FE, EU, and so on). )
  • Our own oil/petroleum system. Where you find surface oil seeps, collect crude, process it into useful fractions, and use oil-based fuels for early power. (You'll be able to use it for power once the first electrical age is implemented)

Planned features:

  1. More powered machines which gradually replace the painful primitive steps. Some currently exist, but are not fleshed out.
  2. More multiblocks! Currently the mod is being built toward larger industrial structures, launch infrastructure, advanced materials, and space-focused progression.
NLTech is currently in early development / pre-alpha.

Current development focus

NLTech is currently in early development / pre-alpha. The focus right now is the foundation. Stuff such as: primitive progression, materials, ore processing, world resources, energy, oil, and the machinery systems that future content will build on.
