nineMinecraft is a joke site.
nineMinecraft is in no way affiliated with Modrinth or 9minecraft. (And frankly, who wants to be affiliated with the latter?)

This mod adds coinshots from ULTRAKILL. To perform a coinshot, throw a coin item (emerald or nugget) into the air and shoot a projectile at it (crossbows are effective). It will ricoshet off the coin and hit a nearby target with increased velocity and damage.

Coins can be chained.

Mechanics

Coins can only be shot if they are in the air and have not been shot before (picking up and dropping the item resets it).

The priority order for targets is:

  • Other coins (within 16 blocks)
  • Current target (for mobs)
  • Last attacked entity
  • Last entity attacked by
  • Nearest entity within 64 blocks

The first entity that exists and has line of sight to the coin is chosen.

Only projectiles that extend PersistentProjectileEntity can have increased damage, e.g. arrows and tridents.

More items can be considered coins by adding them to the #marksman:coin tag.

Due to minecraft physics, ricoshets cannot be 100% accurate and will occasionally miss.

In PvP you should be able to shoot your opponent's coins if you're fast enough. You can also technically perform chargebacks (throwing coins in front of enemy projectiles) but due to Minecraft randomness it is very difficult

Planned Features

  • Coin Punching
  • Railcoins (with piercing)

Compat

It should be possible to run the mod only on the server, although there may be visual glitches on clients.

Any modded projectiles that respect projectile deflection should work with Marksman.

Modded Coin Support

Pairs well with Perception for arrow trails.

Soteria has added support for shooting coins with the curse breaker.
