Logistics – Modular Pipes, Routing & Quarries

A modern, BuildCraft-inspired logistics system for Fabric Minecraft.

Logistics brings classic item transportation back to Minecraft — with visible in-pipe movement, modular routing behavior, and automated world interaction through quarries. Inspired by BuildCraft and Logistics Pipes, the mod focuses on clear, physical systems that are easy to understand, fun to design, and powerful to scale.

🚚 Core Features

Authentic Pipe Networks

Thin, connectable pipes form rich logistics systems.

  • Items visibly travel through pipes (no teleporting)
  • Clear, readable movement and direction
  • Automatic connections and clean visuals
  • Items that cannot be routed are dropped — never silently deleted

Modular Routing Behaviors

Each pipe type plays a distinct role:

  • Stone Transport Pipes – simple early-game item movement
  • Copper Transport Pipes – reliable backbone pipes with randomized routing
  • Gold Acceleration Pipes – speed up item transit when powered by redstone
  • Extraction Pipes – pull items from inventories (wrench-configurable)
  • Merger Pipes – force multiple inputs into a selected output
  • Filter Pipes – per-side configurable filtering
  • Passthrough Pipes – ignore inventories and only connect to other pipes
  • Quartz Pipes – overflow and network-control behaviors
  • Void Pipes – safely destroy unwanted items
  • Wrench Tool – configure outputs and extraction faces

⛏ Automated Quarries

Logistics includes quarries that physically mine the world using real tools.

  • Accepts any valid tool placed into the quarry
  • Fully supports enchantments (Fortune, Silk Touch, Unbreaking, etc.)
  • Mines actual world blocks (not simulated drops)
  • Designed for large-area excavation and deep automation builds
  • Integrates directly into pipe networks for true end-to-end automation

🌿 Copper Weathering & Network Marking

Copper pipes naturally oxidize over time, can be waxed, and can be dyed with marking fluid to visually segment and organize large networks.

  • Vanilla-style oxidation stages
  • Waxing to preserve appearance
  • Marking fluid to color and identify pipe networks

🧩 Mod-Friendly by Design

  • Built on the Fabric Transfer API
  • Designed to maximize compatibility with other mods
  • No required dependencies beyond Fabric & Fabric API
  • Performance-conscious implementation

🛠 Current Status

Logistics is in active development (0.2.x).

Core systems are stable and actively expanding:

  • Pipe transport and routing
  • Modular pipe roles
  • Quarry-based world mining
  • Copper weathering and visual network segmentation

Expect ongoing balance passes, polish, and new systems.

🧭 Planned Directions

  • Advanced routing logic and smarter networks
  • Request and provider systems
  • Autocrafting and logistics workflows
  • Additional harvesting systems (inspired by classic Forestry-style automation)
  • Fluids and expanded world interaction
  • Upgrades, control blocks, and monitoring tools
  • Planned NeoForge support after Minecraft 26

🧠 Why Logistics?

If you enjoy:

  • Designing visible, understandable automation
  • Classic modded-Minecraft logistics gameplay
  • Systems that scale naturally from simple to powerful

Logistics gives you a strong, modern foundation for building real transport and automation networks — from a single chest to full quarry-driven factories.

📦 Installation
