Worldborders are lame, but so is never seeing anyone on your SMP. Limited Spawnpoints leaves exploration unrestricted, but gently encourages people to still build bases near each other.
This mod makes it so that players outside a configurable radius of the worldspawn (default: 1000 blocks) cannot set their spawnpoint with a bed. They may still sleep, but their spawnpoint is unchanged.
