Common Smithing Templates — 1.21.5 Changelog

This update brings Common Smithing Templates to Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.5 and refreshes the pack for the current Armor Trim Abilities ecosystem.

Changes

  • Updated the datapack for Minecraft 1.21.5.
  • Updated pack.mcmeta to the current pack format.
  • Added Smithed-style compatibility metadata and namespacing.
  • Fixed the advancement background display.
  • Updated internal commands and entity data for 1.21.5 compatibility.
  • Trail Ruins armor trims now have a documented 1/2 chance to replace suspicious sand/gravel archaeology loot, matching the current code.
  • Technical entities are now marked with Smithed entity tags for better compatibility with other datapacks.

Compatibility notes

  • This pack is intended as a sister datapack for Armor Trim Abilities.
  • Sentry, Dune, Vex, Wild, Spire, and Trail Ruins armor trims are made easier to obtain.
  • The Trail Ruins suspicious-block behavior has been tested with Armor Trim Abilities’ full Coast archaeology bonus.
  • made some code a little more precise
  • spire trims now also appear in end crystals upon entering the end for the first time
