Overhauled Damage
A complete overhaul to several mechanics revolving around damage. It is inspired by games like Dark Souls and Valheim and aims to deepen Minecraft's combat. It is however not a content mod, more of an API for other mods.
Features include:
- elemental and physical attack types (in addition to the vanilla damage types)
- overhauled damage calculation
- shield overhaul including a parrying mechanic
- status effect build-ups (similar to Dark Soul's status ailments)
- various new entity attributes which are used to control the new mechanics
