Bug fixes

  • Peeled walnut does not have a recipe.
  • All the mod furnaces have the same cooking time.

Gameplay changes

  • Now, Mate has 10 uses per charge, and when its durability reaches 0, it gives the player an Empty mate. It works simillar to potions and honey bottles.
    • Also, his recipe has been changed. Is no longer required that the Grounded yerba mate is up of the Empty mate.
  • Added new Frostbite effect: it gives the player the same effect that when they enter Powder snow, including the slowness, the frozen hearts GUI and the freezing screen. Leveling this effect only amplies his duration.
  • Added new Frostbite enchantment: it can be aplied to daggers, swords and axes. Applies Frostbite to the target, and his max level is II.
    • If your weapon has Frosbite, it can't have Fire aspect, Living touch and/or Poison touch, and viseversa.

Blocks

  • Added Cold lyrium: a new flower that is generated on snowy biomes. Is used to get Vegetable fibber on early game, and it can also be used on Light gray dye production.
  • Added Succulent: a new flower that is generated on desert biomes. Is used to get Vegetable fibber on early game, and it can also be used on Lime dye production.

World generation

  • Ore generation of almost all the modded ores has been reworked. Here is the list of changes:

  • Tin ore now tries to generate 3 separate times, with the following order:

    • Between y=-40 and y=30, the game will try to generate a max of 7 Tin betas per chunk, with a max size of 6 ores per beta. It has a 20% chance of not being generated when facing air.
    • Between y=20 and y=120, the game will try to generate a max of 12 Tin betas per chunk, with a max size of 12 ores per beta.
    • Between y=90 and y=140, the game will try to generate a max of 6 Tin betas per chunk, with a max size of 6 ores per beta. It has a 20% chance of not being generated when facing air.
  • Zinc ore, on the overworld, now tries to generate 2 separate times, with the following order:

    • Between y=-80 and y=-10, the game will try to generate a max of 9 Zinc betas per chunk, with a max size of 10 ores per beta. It has a 30% chance of not being generated when facing air.
    • Between y=-10 and y=30, the game will try to generate a max of 6 Zinc betas per chunk, with a max size of 6 ores per beta. It has a 20% chance of not being generated when facing air.
  • Sulfur ore, on the overworld, now tries to generate 3 separate times, with the following order:

    • Between y=-90 and y=20, the game will try to generate a max of 8 Sulfur betas per chunk, with a max size of 9 ores per beta. It has a 40% chance of not being generated when facing air.
    • Between y=-10 and y=160, the game will try to generate a max of 6 Sulfur betas per chunk, with a max size of 6 ores per beta. It has a 20% chance of not being generated when facing air.
    • Between y=70 and y=190, the game will try to generate a max of 5 Sulfur betas per chunk, with a max size of 6 ores per beta. It has a 20% chance of not being generated when facing air.
  • Silver ore now tries to generate 3 separate times, with the following order:

    • Between y=-64 and y=32, the game will try to generate a max of 6 Silver betas per chunk, with a max size of 5 ores per beta. It has a 50% chance of not being generated when facing air.
    • Between y=-40 and y=20, the game will try to generate a max of 4 Silver betas per chunk, with a max size of 5 ores per beta. It has a 50% chance of not being generated when facing air. -On badlands biomes, between y=-64 and y=260, the game will try to generate a max of 10 Silver betas per chunk, with a max size of 5 ores per beta.
  • Sapphire ore now tries to generate 2 separate times, with the following order:

    • On Jungle and Lush caves biomes, between y=-70 and y=-40, the game will try to generate a max of 8 Sapphire betas per chunk, with a max size of 6 ores per beta. It has a 60% chance of not being generated when facing air.
    • On Jungle and Lush caves biomes, between y=-40 and y=120, the game will try to generate a max of 14 Sapphire betas per chunk, with a max size of 8 ores per beta. It has a 40% chance of not being generated when facing air.
  • Ruby ore now tries to generate 2 separate times, with the following order:

    • On Jungle and Lush caves biomes, between y=-70 and y=-20, the game will try to generate a max of 5 Ruby betas per chunk, with a max size of 6 ores per beta. It has a 50% chance of not being generated when facing air.
    • On Jungle and Lush caves biomes, between y=-20 and y=130, the game will try to generate a max of 8 Ruby betas per chunk, with a max size of 4 ores per beta. It has a 40% chance of not being generated when facing air.

Villager trades

  • Aluminum rods can be selled by Armorers and Toolsmiths with a price between 3 and 6 Sapphires.
  • Aluminum ingots can be selled to Armorers and Toolsmiths for 4 Sapphires each.
  • Wanderer traders have a chance to sell Bauxite for 4 Sapphires.

Internal changes

  • The starting "Mod-" prefix of all classes has been renamed to "EP-", refering to the abreviation of the mod, "Enhanced Playthrough".
  • Mod version incremented to "0.22.0"

Bug fixes

  • Copper nugget doesn't have a proper translation.
  • Aluminum ingot can't be used as a payment for the Beacon.

  • Added Raw tin block: is crafted with 9 Raw tin, and can be re-converted into its raw form.

  • Added Steel nugget: is crafted with 1 Steel ingot, and can be re-converted into ingots.

Texture changes

  • Updated silver textures: All silver textures (except the Silver ingot) have been updated to match the current art style.
  • Updated zinc textures: All zinc textures (except the Zinc ingot) have been updated to match the current art style.
  • Updated all the "nugget" textures: now, all the new nuggets of each material feels more "minecrafty" and seems conected to its respective ingots.

Other changes

  • Now, all the aluminum tools requires to have had an Aluminum rod, the matching tool or the Aluminum smithing upgrade template on the inventory at least one time to unlock the recipe.

Bug fixes:

  • Stone, Cobblestone, Limestone and Cobbled limestone doesn't drop anything when break with Steel pickaxes.
  • When mining a stone-type block with a pickaxe enchanted with Silk touch, the drop is multiplied by 2.

Items

  • Added Terracotta shards: one of each Terracotta color, they are dropped by Bauxite ores mined without Fine mining and/or their respective Terracotta block when they're mined with a Wooden pickaxe. When throw to an enemy, they deal 3 damage points (1.5 hearts).
  • Added Raw aluminum: is dropped by any Bauxite ore, it can be blasted to Aluminum ingots, grinded to Aluminum dust or alloyed with Clay balls to get Firebricks.
  • Added Aluminum ingot: is made blasting any Bauxite ore or Raw aluminum on a Blast furnace. -they are used on the manufacture of Aluminum rods.
  • Added Aluminum dust: is made grinding Aluminum ingots or Raw aluminum.
    • Is used on the manufacture of Firebricks.
  • Added Aluminum nugget: it can't be crafted or found, but it will have utility on the future.
  • Added Aluminum rod: is crafted with 2 Aluminum ingots and gives 4 rods per craft, and is used on the manufacture of Aluminum tools.
  • Added Aluminum smiting upgrade template: it can be found on the Bandit camps, and is duplicated with 1 of its own, 1 Aluminum ingot and 7 Terracotta shards of any color.

Tools and weapons

  • Added Daggers: daggers are a new weapon type that has great speed attack at the cost of damage and range. By default, it reduces 1 block of attack distance, and has the double speed attack of a normal sword.
    • All tiers have their own dagger.
    • Daggers have a "bleed percentage", dependent of the tier. if the chance succeeds, applies Bleeding to the objective for 10 seconds. However, if the dagger is enchanted with Bloody blade, this chance is annulled and applies the enchantment instead.
  • Added new tool: Flint & cobble. Is crafted with 1 Flint and 1 of any Cobble item, works like a Flint & steel but has only 16 uses.
  • Added new tool: Flint & bronze. Is crafted with 1 Flint and 1 Bronze ingot, works like a Flint & steel but has only 32 uses.
  • Added an aluminum variant to all tools. When crafted (or upgraded) to an aluminum handle, the tool receives 20% more durability.

Mobs

  • Added new Illager: the bandit.
  • Bandits are generated with daggers, and depending the game difficulty, the dagger tier is higher or lower.
    • On easy, the selected tier is STONE.
    • On normal, the selected tier is IRON.
    • On hard, the selected tier is STEEL.
  • Bandits have the same health points than Raiders, but they escape of Iron golems if they see one.
  • Bandits also have the villagers as one of their main objectives, and they will attack them instantly when given the oportunity.

New features

  • Added Bauxite ores: there are normal, red, orange, yellow, brown, light gray and white variants. When broke with a pickaxe, it will drop 1 Raw aluminum and 1 to 3 Terracotta shards of his respective color.
  • Added new effect: bleeding. Mobs that bleed take 1 damage point (half-heart) per second.
    • The stronger is the effect, the more damage the mob takes.
  • Added new particle: bleeding. Appears only on players when they have the "bleeding" effect active.
  • Added new enchantment: Bloody blade. It can be applied to daggers, swords and axes. Applies Bleeding to the objective for 10 seconds.
    • It amplifies the Bleeding level by one on each level.
  • Poison touch and Living touch now last 5 seconds, and their max level has been increased to III.
    • The applied effect amplifies 1 level per enchantment level.
  • Fine mining and Rough mining can now be applied to axes and shovels. Previously, only worked on pickaxes.
  • Added Aluminum tools: they have the same properties as the normal tools, but with a 20% extra durability.You can get these tools with one of two ways:
    • Upgrading an existing tool on a Smiting table with an Aluminum smiting upgrade template and an Aluminum ingot.
    • Crafting a new tool with Aluminum rods instead of Sticks.

Other changes

  • Changed Flint & steel recipe to match his name. Now requires 1 Flint and 1 Steel ingot.
  • Changed unlockement criteria of alloying recipes: Now, in order to know how to make an alloy, the player must have or have had the two ingredients on his inventory at least at once.
  • Removed Polished diorite, andesite and granite walls; all Concrete walls and stairs; Stone wall; Calcite, Dripstone and Smooth basalt wall, slab and stairs.
    • To enjoy these features, you should try Enhanced Slabs & Stairs.
  • Librarian enchanted book offers have been modified to match the new balance changes added by the mod. Now, an enchanted book can cost 1 to 64 emeralds, sapphires or rubies depending on his rarity and level:
    • Common and Uncommon enchantments and those with a level below 3 costs emeralds.
    • Rare enchantments and those with a level equal to 3 costs sapphires.

World generation

  • Added new structure: Bandit camps. These campments acts like the Pillager outposts, but for the bandits. A max of 3 bandits can spawn at the same time.
  • Bandit camps have a single structure with a Campfire on the center, and three tents surronding it.
    • Bandit camps are generated on forests, with a separation between them similar to the Pillager outposts.
    • They also have a working station with a Grindstone and a chest with random loot.
    • The posible loot consts of String (between 3 and 6), Leather (between 2 and 7), Leather armor, an Stone, Iron or Steel dagger (with a very rare chance), Apples and Raw mutton, Iron and Bronze ingots and nuggets, White wool, Cobble pieces and an Aluminum smithing upgrade template.
  • Bauxite ores are generated on the Badlands (normal, eroded and wooded) between Y = 55 and Y = 150 with a maximum of 9 betas per chunk.

Technical changes

  • Added new DAGGER tag: for the moment, it has no uses, but contains all the new daggers.
  • Added new BAUXITE_ORE tag: is used on the smelting of Bauxite ores.
  • Added new TERRACOTTA_SHARDS tag: is used on the crafting of the Aluminum smithing upgrade template.
  • Added an individual INGOT tag for each new ingot.
  • POLISHER_TOOL tag has been renamed to POLISHER: This is for compatibility pruporses.
  • DAGGER and POLISHER tags now belongs to the forge namespace: this is for compatibility pruporses, as if other mods use theese tags or want to interact with the mod, they can do it using only the tag.

Bug Correction

  • When placing any modded furnace or alloy furnace, the game crashed.
  • Some block names wheren´t alligned on the center of the screen.
  • Dripstone, Limestone and some block entities doesn´t give anything when broke with correct tools.

  • Added Firebricks: A brick variant stronger than them (similar to iron blocks).

  • Added wall, slab and stair variant to Calcite: now Calcite has more decorative uses, as it can be converted onto slabs, walls or stairs.

  • Added the Masonry furnace: a new block entity that works like a blast furnace or a smoker, but with almost all the blocks that thoose two doesn´t allow. Is crafted with 5 Firebricks, 3 Cobblestone and a Furnace.

Game mechanics

  • Added Throwable cobble: a new enity type that works like snowballs, but with all the cobble types. It does 1 heart of damage per impact.
  • Added Jeweler House structure: A simple house that generates on plains and meadows, generally close to villages. Inside of the house, there is a Jeweler villager, a bed and a Gem polisher stacion.

Internal changes

  • Added custom biometags: For a better control on spawning mechanics, new nametags where added under the "enhanced_playthrough" namespace:
    • COLD_BIOMES: For taigas, mountains and snowy biomes.
    • WARM_BIOMES: For deserts, savanas and jungles.
    • TEMPLATE_BIOMES: For forests, plains an beaches.
    • JEWELER_HOUSE: For plains and meadows.
  • Structures are generated almost entirely by code, however you need to provide the .nbt files for the structure pieces externaly because Minecraft does not have any NBT generators and there are no real beneficts on developing one right now.

  • Added Pampas grass: they are generated on the overworld, close to water sources. It is a double block. It has a 25% chance of drop a Reeds head when mined without Shears.
  • Added Andinean pampas grass: they work exactly like the Pampas grass block, but are one block tall instead of two.
  • Added stair, slab and wall variants for Dripstone block.
  • Added a wall variant for Stone, Limestone, Polished diorite, Polished andesite and Polished granite blocks.

New items

  • Added Pampas grass head: is a new item dropped by the Pampas grass block family, and is used on Vegetable fiber production.
  • Added Reeds head: is a new item dropped by Water reeds, and is used on Vegetable fiber production.
  • Added Vegetable fiber: a new type of String, is a natural replacement for the vanilla one and his pretended use is on Stone tools elaboration.
  • Added Cobble, Limestone cobble, Deepslate cobble, Netherrack rubble and Dark cobble: They are dropped from Stone, Limestone, Deepslate, Netherrack and Blackstone, respectively, when mined with a Wooden pickaxe (for Stone, Limestone, Netherrack and Blackstone), a Steel pickaxe (for Deepslate) or with any pickaxe with Rough Mining.

New mechanics

  • Added new curse: Rough mining. It is the oposite of Fine mining (as the name implies), and when is applied to a pickaxe, the mined block will only drop its cobble, without the mineral.
    • It can be bought to Jeweler villagers as a tier 4 trade. It can also be found on Mineshafts.
  • Changed all the ores loot tables: now, there are a few new requisites to get minerals from ores:
    • when the player´s pickaxe is not enchanted with Fine mining nor Rough mining or is a Wooden pickaxe (for stone ores) or a Steel pickaxe (for deepslate ores), the mined ore will drop its mineral part along with between 1-3 Cobble or Deepslate cobble.
    • When the player´s pickaxe is enchanted with Fine mining, the mined ore will drop only its mineral part, without cobble.
    • When the player´s pickaxe is cursed with Rough mining, the mined block will drop only 4 cobble of his type, without minerals.
  • Changed stone tools recipes: now Stone tools requires any Cobble, any String and sticks to be crafted. This is due to a better progression system requires a slower starting point to enhance the satisfaction of progress.
  • Rebalanced all the trades of the game: Now, major trades requires Sapphires and Rubies to be achieved, adding more layers to the progression system.
    • This change does not include Librarians yet, but on the next versions they will be included, as it sounds ridiculous the fact that you can have Mending only with sticks.

General changes

  • Added new advancement: A cobbled business. Is awarded when the player gets any cobble-type item.
  • Changed bronzium upgrade recipes: now both Bronze and Brass items requires a Bronzium ingot to be upgraded to its Bronzium form.
  • Added new sounds: the Griders now have a new sound when active to let know the player that is working correctly.
  • Added new damage type: players have a custom message when they are killed by a gigant reed.

  • Things like tools and armors can now be grinded to get his respective dust, providing a new usage to theese items.
  • Dusts can be melted on the Furnace and/or Blast furnace to get 1 ingot of the grinded item (for example, a Silver pickaxe gives Silver dust, so when you melt the dust on the furnace it´ll give you a Silver ingot).
  • Added signs and boats for all the mod wood types.
  • Rebalanced cooking time and experience drop of the mod items on the vanilla furnaces to match the rest of the game.
  • Added full compatiblity with Jade, including interfaces for the block entities.
  • Changed textures of Raw ruby, Raw sapphire, Raw diamond, Wheat flour, Pumpkin flour and Mud brick.
  • Changed Mud bricks recipe: now it gives 1 block per 4 Mud brick like vanilla Minecraft.

Internal changes

  • Advancements are now datadriven, being generated with the GatherData event of the ModEventBus.
  • Created tags for Gold, Silver, Zinc, Tin, Copper, Brass, Bronze, Rose gold, Iron, Bronzium, Green gold, Steel and Blue gold manufacturable items (tools and armor).
  • Added PRIMAL_GRIND_INGREDIENT and MECHANICAL_GRIND_INGREDIENT tags. They both serve as a control mechanic for the input slots of the grinders.
  • Added BASIC_INGREDIENT tag: It is used on the control of the input slots of Basic furnaces.
  • Most recipes now work with ItemTags instead of List<ItemLike>. This is due to, when using JEI for example, the items appeard invividually rather than on a unique group. Also, there are a lot less recipe jsons now, so the game is more optimized.

  • Trees has been re added to the mod. This is because the tree mechanic does not interfer to the game progress and is one more adition to the player.
  • Added new trees: Lemon, Lime and Orange.
  • Orange trees generates on flower forests, while Lemon and Lime trees generates on birch forests.
  • Apple trees now can only generate on oak forests.
  • Tree generation is subjet of future changes, be aware of this.
  • Added Lime: is a new food given by the Lime tree, and heals 1 hunger unit and has 2 saturation.
  • Changed drop pool for emerald, sapphire, ruby , garnet and diamond ores.
  • Now when mining one of theese minerals with Fine Mining, only the polished gem will be dropped.
  • If you break a gem ore with Silk Touch, it will give you the block as the name implies.

  • Trees has been removed from the mod. They will however be re-introduced later on development, expect great news!

  • Some textures didn´t load in game

  • Removed Apple drop from Oak leaves. Now apples are dropped from the Apple leaves.
  • Added grinding recipes for all the flowers that gives the player a dye. Almost every recipe gives 3 dyes, but the tall flowers gives 4 or 6 dyes per flower when used in the grinder.

Changelog

  • Added Adobe Furnace, a new furnace type that anteceeds the vanilla Furnace.
  • Adobe furnace can be crafted with 6 Mud bricks and 3 Cobblestone, meanwhile the vanilla Furnace is now crafted with an Adobe furnace, 3 Bronze ingots and 6 Cobblestone.
  • Adobe alloy furnace is now crafted with an Adobe furnace, 6 Bricks and 3 Cobblestone.

  • Rose gold gear balanced: now the Rose golden pickaxe can mine all the blocks with the NEEDS_IRON_TOOL tag.

Also added the Rose golden polisher tool.

Added Global loot modifiers, including loot in the following structures:

  • All the crop seeds where added to the villages, more specifically in the chest found in the houses.
  • Steel gear was added to the ancient city pool.
  • Bronze gear was added to the mineshaft and mob spawner tools.
